Has Prince Harry Left London Yet? Following the coronation of his father, King Charles, Prince Harry is believed to have left London and is on his way back to the United States. The Duke of Sussex has been living in the US with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, since retiring as a senior royal in 2020.
Returning to the US After the Coronation
According to The Telegraph, Prince Harry was seen heading to Heathrow Airport after attending the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. He is expected to board a return flight to Los Angeles shortly. This marks the first time Prince Harry has reunited with his extended family since the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September and the release of his tell-all memoir, Spare, in January.
A Brief Visit to the UK
Prince Harry’s visit to the UK was always intended to be short, as the coronation coincided with his son Prince Archie’s fourth birthday. After leaving Westminster Abbey, the Duke of Sussex was seen entering a car with blacked-out windows that followed the coronation procession back to Buckingham Palace.
Interactions with the Royal Family
During the coronation ceremony, Prince Harry was seen smiling at various points and was seated near a pregnant Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, Zara Tindall, her husband Mike Tindall, and Anne, the Princess Royal. He also sat in the same row as Prince Andrew. Although he arrived alone at the event, he appeared to be in good spirits, chatting with Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and was photographed smiling at the Princess Royal as he took his seat in the third row of the Abbey.
Returning to Family in California
Upon his return to Montecito, California, Prince Harry will reunite with his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and their children Archie and Lilibet. The Independent has reached out to the Duke of Sussex’s representatives for comment regarding his departure from London.
