George Of The Jungle Gave Brendan Fraser Unexpected Parental Complaints

Brendan Fraser, who played George in the live-action Disney movie George of the Jungle, says that after the movie came out, he got a number of complaints from parents that he did not expect.
Fraser played George in the movie. George is a young man who grew up in the jungle and likes to swing from vines into trees.
The Disney family comedy came out in 1997 to mixed reviews, but it was a big hit at the box office.

Fraser told The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast that he got a lot of complaints about George of the Jungle, especially from parents whose children started acting like his character.
Before The Mummy made him famous, it seemed like kids who wanted to be George were copying him by smashing into trees.

George of the Jungle was so popular with its target audience at the time that so many kids were hurting themselves to be more like Fraser’s George.
Even though the film didn’t get as much praise as some of Fraser’s other movies, it was always funny and light-hearted.

George of the Jungle is funny and interesting for kids because it embraces its premise and makes fun of itself. It also keeps Ape the gorilla’s rescue mission story interesting.

George of the Jungle 2, a direct-to-video sequel, was made because the first movie did so well.
In the second movie, George was played by Christopher Showerman instead of Brendan Fraser. Now that George is the King of the Jungle, he also has to take care of his son, George Jr.
Since Fraser’s role in The Whale, which was praised by critics, brought him back into the public eye, he could now go back to some of the franchises he used to lead, like George of the Jungle.
