Gama Pehalwan Death Reason: Gama was an Indian wrestler. His real name was Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt. The gamma wrestler is commonly known as Rustam-e-Hind. At the beginning of the 20th century, he was the undefeated wrestling champion of the world.
In his 50-year career, he was unbeaten. He is considered one of the best wrestlers of his time. After the partition of India in 1947, he moved to the newly formed state of Pakistan.
At the age of 10, he fought his first wrestling. For the first time, he got a discussion about the riot that the King of Jodhpur had organized in 1890. The younger Ustad Gama had also attended that Dangal. The king of Jodhpur was stunned when he saw gamma’s agility and workout. He was also fought by some of the wrestlers. Gama came in the first 15 wrestlers. The king declared Gama the winner.
It is said that from here Gama did not look back again. By the time of 19, Gama had defeated one of the famous wrestlers of Hindustan. But there was a name that was taken with great respect in the wrestling field in the country – Karim Baksh Sultani of Gujranwala. This name was still a challenge for Gamma.
There was a wrestling riot between the two in Lahore, and it is said that the whole of Lahore broke into that ground that day just to see the dangal. In front of Karim Baksh, about seven feet tall, the five-foot-seven-inch gamma looked like a child.
As is usually the case, the new horse is not bet on it. Everyone thought that in a little while the Sultani would make Gama think. For three hours, people shouted, and the prices kept on rising and decreasing. In the end, nothing came out of the result. Both are left on par. The effect of this riot was that Gama became famous all over India.
It is said that he also challenged American martial arts artist Bruce Lee. But when Bruce Lee met the Gama wrestler, he learned ‘The Cat Stretch’, a variant of push-ups based on yoga. After this, seeing the diet and training of Gama, he became a fan of his. There is a mention on Wikipedia about the meeting of Gama and Bruce Lee. The gamma wrestler fought the last wrestling of his life in 1927 against Swedish wrestler Jess Peterson.

Several reports have said that after partition, the gamma wrestler had moved from Amritsar to Lahore. But there they were not taken care of and he struggled with the shortage of money. After quitting wrestling, he complained of asthma and heart disease and his condition worsened. He had so many financial constraints that he had to sell his medals at the last moment. He eventually died in 1960 at the age of 82.

Gama wrestlers used to keep desi food in their diet. According to the strength of his body, his diet was also there. Gamma wrestlers drank 10 liters of milk every day. His diet included six desi chickens. They used to eat half a liter of ghee, one and a half liters of butter, almond sherbet, and 100 loaves of bread. Gamma wrestlers used to wrestle with their 40 teammates every day. In his everyday life, he used to do five thousand penalty meetings and three thousand push-ups. The structure of his body was also quite strong.
Not A Single Wrestling Has Been Lost In His Entire Career
It is famous about Gama that in his career of more than 50 years, he has never lost in wrestling with anyone. In his career, he also won the World Heavyweight Championship (1910) and the World Wrestling Championship (1927), where he was awarded the title of ‘Tiger’. In the early 20th century, gamma became the wrestler Rustam-e-Hind.
