Farzi Web Series Review Download: Hindi web crime shows Farzi stars Shahid Kapoor as Sunny/Artist, Vijay Sethupathi as Michael Vedanayagam, Bhuvan Arora as Firoz, Kay Kay Menon as Mansoor Dalal, Raashii Khanna as Megha, Chittaranjan Giri as Yasir, Amol Palekar as Sunny’s grandfather, along with Regina Cassandra, Chittaranjan Giri, Kubbra Said and others. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. made the Prime Video series and were in charge of it. Sita Menon, Suman Kumar, Raj, and DK wrote the story parts.

There are eight episodes, each at least an hour long. Sachin-Jigar and Tanishk Bagchi wrote the music. Tarun Achpal, Pratha Narang, Amith Surendran, and Pankaj Kumar are all responsible for the cinematography.

The plot summary says, “Farzi is a fast-paced, edgy, one-of-a-kind crime thriller with the directors’ signature humour. It’s about an intelligent street artist trying to trick a system favouring the rich. What happens next is a thrilling cat-and-mouse game between him and the police, which he can’t lose.

In Farzi, Sunny is a poor artist who sells copies of paintings by famous artists to make a living. He lives with his grandfather, whose newspaper is called “Kranti,” and his best friend from childhood, Firoz. The press business that his grandfather ran loses money. Sunny and Firoz use the printing machine at his grandfather’s company to make fake 500 rupee notes to help him pay off the loan.

What starts as an hour-long need turns into a habit and an obsession. Sunny gets bigger and meaner very quickly. Another big player in the business of making fake money doesn’t know what’s going on. Michael, a Task Officer, and Megha, an employee of the RBI, are working hard to catch the people who are involved in the fake business. What will happen if Sunny’s secret gets out to the other big player? Michael and Megha might be able to find him. In the end, we find out what’s going on.

People always have high hopes when big names like Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are working on a show or movie. Some of the best filmmakers in the country, they make movies that not only entertain but also teach us something. I had high hopes for Farzi, especially since they also made The Family Man, which was a big hit on Amazon Prime Video. In the latest crime show, Raj and DK do what they do best. But there are also some problems.

There are some great episodes and some that are just boring. Episodes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are interesting and move at a good pace. Episodes 3 and 4 are less fun to watch than the first two. They have a lot of characters and facts that don’t always seem interesting.

Farzi starts with a powerful scene that makes us care right away about Sunny’s life. Sunny is smart, talented, and a little bit shady at first. Life has put Sunny to the test. He goes against the rules to help his grandfather. He does this by often pointing out how unfair our society and system are. But he ends up being the problem he often points out in tense scenes.

In a crime show, if there’s a bad guy, there’s also a cop who loves his job just as much. Michael wants to catch the people who run the business of making fake money. Michael’s personal life is a mess, but he would do anything to clean up the mess in the country. I liked how the people who made the Sunny and Michael movie didn’t do the usual cat-and-mouse chase.

What’s great about Raj and DK is that they give us strong characters who help the main characters. The presence and actions of characters like Firoz, Megha, and Mansoor have also made a big difference in the latest Hindi crime show. They are very important to both Sunny and Michael’s stories.

In Farzi, the writers and directors show how unfair the system is to regular people. A great scene shows how middle-class people live and how artists struggle. It feels raw and real, and it fits well with what’s going on with the characters. Without giving anything away, one of my favourite and funniest scenes is when the police couldn’t catch someone in Mumbai because of all the traffic. I’ve never seen such a true and scary picture of how bad the traffic is in the city.

Walter White from Breaking Bad came to mind when I saw Shahid Kapoor in Sunny. I thought of Walter’s famous line, “I did it for me,” when I saw how his need turned into an obsession and ecstasy when he was in the counterfeit business. I liked it. It was something I was good at, and I was… I wasn’t dead. Sunny got in touch with his creative side when he designed and made these fake notes. Michael seemed to be like Saul Goodman, who wants to do the right thing but sometimes makes questionable choices.

In terms of what didn’t work, the drama in Michael’s personal life felt very forced. In a lot of movies and TV shows, the hero cop has a bad marriage. It doesn’t add anything to the premise because when he’s at work, he’s a very different, serious, and dedicated person. I get that the creators wanted to show us who Michael was as a person, not just as a soldier. But the idea of a troubled marriage is very common and has been used a lot. I already said that episodes 3 and 4 are less fun to watch, which is another flaw. When you eat them all at once, you feel heavy and confused.

Farzi is Shahid Kapoor’s first OTT movie, and he did a good job. Shahid is always fun to watch when he plays such naughty characters. He often makes you want Sunny to win, has a great sense of humour, and his serious conversations will hit you hard. It’s great to see the actor in a role that lets him shine.

Vijay Sethupathi starts his first OTT and Hindi web series with this series. He does a great job as an actor. He works hard to get the Hindi lines right, and it shows. The actor is great at making people laugh with deadpan humour. The only thing I don’t like about Michael is how he is written. I wish that Michael had more depth and that his personal life wasn’t so dramatic.

Megha, played by Raashii Khanna, is a strong-minded employee of the RBI. The character is well-written, and the actor is very good. Kay Kay Menon is another person to watch out for. He is such a hidden gem, and I’m glad he gets to play such a well-known role. In some scenes, he seems dangerous. Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, Chittaranjan Giri, and many others have done great work as actors.

Farzi shows Shahid Kapoor going from a skilled artist to a well-known one, or “breaking bad.” The more Vijay Sethupathi is there and does, the better it gets. Even though there are some problems, Raj and DK have made another interesting series. The last three episodes are the most exciting ones.
