Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 6 Recap, Ending Explain

Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 6: Now, the members of the Doom Patrol know that they are immortal beings being hunted down because of their immortal powers. Rita’s (April Bowlby) powers were already taken away by Dr Janus (Timeca M. Seretti). At the end of the last episode, it looked like Jane’s (Diane Guerrero) longevity might also be going away. In “Hope Patrol,” the gang tries to stop another end of the world and get their powers back, but they may end up making things worse.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 6 Recap

It looks like Willoughby did change the spell after all because, at the beginning of the episode, Cliff is fixing his car, and Jane wakes up from a nap in the backseat. Both are adults. She is still pretty confused, though. At first, she thought that all the crazy stuff with de-ageing was just a bad dream. Cliff tells her that it wasn’t the case. Jane looks in the side mirror and sees that she has wrinkles and grey hair. She thinks the crazy bunny stole her youth; she feels like they’ve been tricked. Jane wants to run into battle and fight these traitors head-on, but Cliff is working on his car and won’t help his old friend. Then the hand on his oven mitt starts talking to him. Oh, Doom Patrol, come on, we were doing great!

Rita and Rouge are back to normal as well. In last week’s episode, they turned into babies at a bus stop. Rouge wants to look into the Bureau to see if they know anything about summoning Immortus, but Rita wants to go home and get some much-needed sleep. As she promised, Rouge gives Rita control of the group again and asks the boss what they should do next. Rita is going to have a hard time getting to sleep soon.

The last time we saw Larry, he had been taken away by a pesky portal. In “Hope Patrol,” he is pulled into a place called “Orqwith.” Larry is led to a temple by men in black Morphsuits with giant, clumsy scissors. Larry is taken as a prisoner through a maze, but Mr. 104 stops them and saves the superhero with a pair of cardboard scissors. The set and character designs may be the worst they’ve ever been on the show, which is something you wouldn’t expect from the respected HBO.

Cliff gets into an argument with his talking oven glove hand, which seems to be Rory. He tells the imaginary hand that he is building a car for the real Rory and that he knows he is a wrong person, but at least he admits it. Rory tries to convince him that he is a good person, then shows him the zombie butt he saved and put in the freezer. Yes, he must be a good person because he saved the life of a zombie butt who could have killed everyone.

Mr. 104 opens a way back to the manor and takes Larry there. Cliff remembers when Mr. 104 tried to kill him by setting him on fire, so he doesn’t like the guest. But Mr. 104 tells him he has changed and wants to help stop Immortus. Cliff is tired of hearing about people who can live forever, but he does say that Jane and Rita are no longer immortal. This means that there are only Cliff and Larry left. Larry is then forced back into the portal by Keeg. Later, Vic and Deric get to the scene and find Cliff lying on the ground. Keeg had just shot him into the pantry. They go through the portal to see how dangerous it is.

Rita and Rouge sneak into the Ant Farm by putting on a disguise. They look in the records library for information about project Immortus, but there is a hole where the file should be. Rouge thinks that Wally Sage is to blame for everything, so they go to see him in jail. Sage’s cell walls have two words that stand out: “Orqwith” and “Immortus.” The bad guy is waiting for them patiently behind bars. Rita starts to melt when she sees Wally’s face. She turns into a big blob of goo, which then covers Wally. Rouge is scared that Rita killed him.

Cliff sees Jane again when he is alone at the manor. When the two make up after their fight, it’s a sweet moment. Cliff even offers his clean hand as a way to say sorry. Jane takes his new robotic hand in hers, and in a touching sequence, they hold each other. They decide to fight this evil together, but first, they must find Willoughby in the hallway. He is all bloody and hurt because he just fought an invisible enemy. He tells them they have taken Bunbury. Jane says that the bunny stole her long life, but Willoughby tells her they were only trying to protect it. Now, they need to keep Cliff safe. Cliff and Jane agree that they no longer trust Willoughby, so they get rid of him.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 6 Ending Explain

Zombie butts attack Larry in this horrifying future, and his radiation leaks out of his body. Larry’s friend Keeg shows him a picture of his future. Keeg has forced Larry back into the pocket dimension for some reason, where he is quickly caught.

Keeg takes Larry to the sun to destroy his body as a last-ditch effort to save the planet. No matter what they do, they always seem to be facing death. Keeg now thinks that Immortus can save them and keep them together forever. Larry agrees with the idea and lets the enemy take away his ability to live long.

Inside the magical realm of Orqwith, Vic and Deric find a pen and paper. They can use it to make anything they want. They draw a robot and make it come to life. But the bad guys quickly and easily destroy the robot and take the two people. Jane and Cliff show up around this time, but they, too, are accepted.

The hooded figures leave the temple after getting Larry’s long life, and Wally Sage turns out to be the leader of this group. As the group is brought into the temple, Rory reminds Cliff that he left the freezer door open and has probably caused the end of the world as we know it by letting the zombie butt back into society. Maybe he is a wrong person.
