Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 1 Release Date: We are almost ready to show Demon Slayer again. In a little less than a month, a movie will come out that connects the Entertainment District and Swordsmith Village storylines. Then, in April, we’re back with Tanjiro full-time as he and his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke continue to fight demons. You can also expect to meet new friends and enemies.
We’ve compiled a guide to season 3 of Demon Slayer, also known as the Swordsmith Village arc, to help you prepare. We have the latest information on the Ufotable anime’s release dates, trailers, and even which chapters of the manga it will be based on. Also, you can hear a sneak peek (or should that be sneak listen?) of the new OP for the third season below.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 1 Release Date
Season 3 of Demon Slayer comes out in April 2023, but you can watch the first episode a month early.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour is a movie that will be shown in US theatres starting March 3. The feature-length production will combine episodes 10 and 11 of the Entertainment District Arc from the previous season with the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc, which is an hour-long special.
Crunchyroll now has Demon Slayer for you to watch. We think Demon Slayer season 3 will do the same and be available to stream on that site, especially since Funimation merged with that site. In some places, the first season is already ready to stream on Netflix.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 1 Preview
The third season of Demon Slayer is called the Swordsmith Village Arc. Don’t worry, we won’t give away anything about the source material here, but we think it will cover manga chapters 100–127. The Entertainment District Arc also went from 70 to 99, so this season is also likely to have 12 episodes, give or take a few.
It should involve Tanjiro going to Swordsmith Village to get a new weapon, unless there are major changes. As luck would have it, an old weapon is in the village. But it’s not that simple because the story involves the Love and Mist Hashiras and maybe one or two Upper-Rank demons.
On a bigger scale, how the episode ended in the Entertainment District gave us an idea of where the show will likely go after season 3. Tengen is no longer in the game but still alive and well. He told Iguro that Tanjiro was the most likely person to take over for him as Hashira. From there, the Demon Slayers can finally go after Muzan Kibutsuji, the person they want to kill the most.
