Country Music Awards 2023 Winner List: The CMT (Country Music Television) Music Awards took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, honoring the best in country music. Hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, who was up for two awards, and Kane Brown, nominated for three trophies, the event showcased the immense talent in the country music scene.

Celebrating the Best of Country Music

Carrie Underwood, the CMT Awards all-time winner with 25 victories, was nominated again this year, along with Blake Shelton, Gabby Barrett, Luke Combs, Little Big Town, and more. The night also featured performances by Gwen Stefani, Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban, and Alanis Morissette. Morissette made her CMT debut with a performance celebrating the 10-year anniversary of “CMT Next Women of Country.”

Honoring Icons and Breaking Barriers

Country music icon Shania Twain received the 2023 “CMT Equal Play Award.” Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lynyrd Skynyrd were honored with tribute performances by various artists. The CMT Music Awards winners are decided by fan votes, making it a night that truly celebrates the connection between artists and their supporters.
