Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 13: Chicago Med has returned. The medical drama took a few weeks off at the beginning of the year, but on February 15, it will return to its normal Wednesday time slot along with the rest of the One Chicago shows. There are a lot of storylines that will be worked on, like how the staff reacts to the new owner of Gaffney and how the business is run.

The new episode will be called “It’s an Ill Wind That Blows Nobody Good,” and it will follow the usual Med format of following the Gaffney team as they treat different patients. This week, Dr. Asher (Jessy Schram) will be on screen a lot because part of the episode will be about how hard it is for her to get to work when a storm hits Chicago.

Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 13 Recap

Maggie and her husband were still fighting in tonight’s episode of Chicago Med. He thought she would tell him the truth, but she kept important information from him. She didn’t tell him that she was in a car accident because she was trying to hide the fact that she had been in the car with another man.

Someone she knew in the past. Someone she still cared about, or she wouldn’t have lied. Maggie almost kissed her ex, which took their attention away from driving and caused them to crash. Then she tried to make it up. She got everyone she worked with and who knew both her and her husband to lie about what happened. And now her marriage has fallen apart.

Maggie was still trying to talk to her husband when she had to go to work. At Chicago Med, the waiting room was so full that it was about to spill over. That night, there was a bad ice storm in Chicago. A lot of people just came in to get warm and have a blanket, but this ice storm had also caused some serious accidents.

Nina broke her pelvis when she tried to turn on her gas stove to keep herself and her nephew warm. She started to feel sick from carbon monoxide, which caused her to trip and break her pelvis.

Nina was trying to keep warm, but it almost killed her. Felix was also there. Felix has a condition called Bipolar II. He was also known for not following rules. He sometimes stops taking his medicines for no reason other than that one day he feels great and thinks he no longer needs them.

Felix went outside in the rain. He got frostbite on both of his feet. He went to get help at the hospital. They put his feet in warm water while they tried to get his blood pressure back up, and Maggie pushed him out of bed because she said they were too full to let Felix take up space.

Maggie was the only one who thought to put him on a cot in a hallway. She thought he’d warm up in the hospital and everything would be fine, but she was wrong. Felix was stabbed while he was walking down the hallway. Maggie found him later while she was walking around and he was bleeding out.

She was with Sharon at the time, and an alarm went off when a patient was stabbed. They had to warn everyone in the hospital. Felix was sick, so Dr. Crockett Marcel was called in to help. Felix’s therapist, Dr. Daniel Charles, was also called.

No one knew why a man was stabbed while they were there. Sharon didn’t want to call a Code Silver because that would mean emptying the hospital and sending people out into one of Chicago’s worst ice storms ever. She decided instead to let the staff know gently that there was a problem. She didn’t want people to get scared. She also couldn’t call CPD for help because they were too busy with other calls, so the stabbing had to be taken care of by the police department itself.

Maggie thought it was her fault that Felix died. She thought he would have been fine if she hadn’t put him on a cot, and Maggie was so used to beating herself up that she turned on the other nurses. Her friends. After Crockett couldn’t fix Felix all the way, things only got worse. When he got stabbed, the knife broke, and the point got stuck in his liver. It couldn’t be taken off in a safe way. When Maggie heard that part, she couldn’t take it. She was very mad. She was always short-tempered, and this storm has only made her even worse.

The same thing happened to Dr. Dean Archer. His son Sean and his friend Clint went to the hospital. They said that Clint was attacked while he was getting groceries, but he was hurt when he tried to buy drugs from a bad person. So many drugs were in his system that Archer found it in his blood. So he started to worry about his own son. Sean was also an addict, and he was staying at a halfway house because he had just gotten out of jail. Archer couldn’t have Clint help Sean get high again or bring Sean down. So, he talked to his son about it.

Sean said that his dad was too bossy. He said they lied because of this. They got into a fight, and Archer would have been even more upset if he hadn’t had another patient waiting for him. Katie was having her baby, and Archer was there to help. Katie has a condition called preeclampsia. Dr. Hannah Asher was nowhere to be found when her life was in danger. She got stuck first in her own driveway. Then, when she came across a car accident, she tried to slowly drive away. She went to see how the people inside were doing. Someone hurt them. And soon after she got everyone out of the car, the car itself blew up.

Because of the short detour, her car got stuck again. She was now stuck outside with two people who were obviously sick and had no one else to help them but her. An OBGYN. Hannah called her job to ask for help to come to where she was. Even their ambulances were having trouble in the storm, so they couldn’t get to her. Sean was the only one who had heard his dad talk about what was going on with Hannah. He then went looking for her in his truck. He found her in the end and saved Hannah and the people she helped.

Sean himself was a hero. Archer at least knew that his son was still a good person because of what he did. Archer, meanwhile, helped the resident doctor, Zach Hudgins, deliver Katie’s baby. Archer was happy with how quickly Zach took care of Katie, so he let Zach take care of a patient on his own. Maggie found a patient who Zach was taking care of. Maggie had to take a break because she hadn’t slept in hours, but instead of sleeping, she helped a new patient who got stuck at the back door. Her name was Heidi. She broke her ankle when she slipped on the ice.

Heidi was taken to the ER by Maggie. She heard Heidi starting to lose it while Zach was taking care of her, so she stepped in just as Heidi pulled out a knife. Heidi slashed Maggie. Before she could hurt anyone else, Zach put her to sleep. It turned out that Heidi had stabbed them. She had a form of schizophrenia called paranoid schizophrenia. She hasn’t had consistent care in almost ten years, and she admitted to stabbing Felix because she thought he talked too loudly and was too close to her.

With the help of Dr. Grace Song, Dr. Will Halstead was able to save Nina’s life. Grace didn’t want to let Nina have surgery at first because she thought she would lose too much blood and they were already short-staffed. But she didn’t care about what she found because Will made her feel sad. He told her that Nina is the only thing her nephew has. They died more than a year ago. His aunt was his only living relative, and if it weren’t for her, he would have to go into foster care. So, Nina’s life was saved. They threw away the blood, and Grace had to go see a surgeon.

So, Grace returned to focusing on numbers instead of people.

In the meantime, Crockett used the OR 2.0 to save Felix’s life, and he found some bugs in the programming of the OR. He tried to talk to Jack about it. Jack lied to him because he didn’t think there was a problem, and he’s still not paying attention to the problems that are there.

And when Maggie’s shift was over, Ben showed up because he wanted to take her home.
