Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 12: On the NBC procedural drama Chicago Fire, where firefighters and paramedics work together to save lives while also dealing with their problems, things have been pretty rough this season.
The drama’s central couple, Severide and Kidd, married last season and started a new chapter in their relationship. But they had yet to learn that season 11 would bring them some big problems. After the couple almost died recently, things are only likely to get worse from here on out.
On January 18, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET, the next episode of Chicago Fire will come out. Since NBC makes the show, the episode will be shown on the network channel. It will also be able to be watched online on Peacock the next day.

Things are about to get harder for Firehouse 51’s central couple, Severide and Kidd. The Chicago Fire season 11 trailer shows that a lot will change for them. Severide and Kidd were excited to start a new part of their relationship after getting married at the end of Chicago Fire season 10. They had no idea that their first year of marriage would be full of big problems. Even though they have been close to dying a few times, things might worsen for them.
The fact that the Chicago Fire episode is called “How Does It End?” makes it even more mysterious what will happen to Severide and Kidd next. From what I can tell, Kidd has difficulty getting back to work after her near-death experience on a botched rescue mission. This time, though, she isn’t worried about herself as much as she is about her husband.
After getting married in the season 10 finale, the couple went on their honeymoon and were attacked. This was the wrong way to start their new life together. When you add that to Kidd’s latest mistake at work, it’s safe to say that their year hasn’t been going so well. Kidd and Severide should be glad they are still together, though, because other Chicago Fire couples have had worse things happen to them, like breaking up or dying. If anything, it shows their chances of breaking up aren’t very high.
Even so, this doesn’t mean that Firehouse 51’s main love story won’t change in Chicago Fire in the future. Co-showrunner Andrea Newman has already hinted that trouble is on the way for the pair. At the very least, either Kidd or Severide might have to move to a different precinct. This would give them some space from each other and end Kidd’s worries about their dangerous jobs. If this is the case, though, it’s likely that the couple will get back together again at Chief Boden’s house.
It seems like Kidd has PTSD after being in several dangerous situations. She’s been a part of Firehouse 51 for years, so she’s always been aware of the risks that come with their work. However, this seems to be the first time it has affected her choices. If this is where Chicago Fire is going, it will be interesting to see how they plan to handle her relationship with Severide and her job. No matter what happens, this is a great way to move her and her husband’s story forward without constantly taunting viewers with fake-out deaths. Maybe NBC will add an unplanned pregnancy plotline to Severide and Kidd’s story to make it enjoyable.
