The Korean Business Research Institute conducts a study into the brand reputation index of the most well-known Korean celebrities every month, using big data points collected between specific dates. For March, the Institute collected 202,942,304 data points between February 28 and March 30, 2023, which shows an increase of 2.12% compared to the previous month.

BTS, the renowned K-Pop boy band, achieved a remarkable brand reputation score of 6,791,625, marking a significant increase of 11.58% since the previous month. This accomplishment enabled BTS to outperform all other K-Pop groups, including Lim Young-woong, a legendary trot artist who secured the second position with a score of 6,494,742.
Captain of Korea’s football team Son Heung-min ranks third
Son Heung-min, the captain of Korea’s national football team, has ranked in third place on the Star Brand Reputation Index. He achieved a staggering brand reputation score of 6,200,437, indicating an increase of 19.35% since last month’s ranking. This achievement marks a significant rise in rank and score for the football sensation.
HYBE’s rookie K-Pop girl group NewJeans slips to fourth
HYBE’s rookie K-Pop girl group NewJeans, who held the top position in the previous two months, slipped to the fourth rank. The girl group achieved a brand reputation score of 5,018,007, which marks a staggering decrease of 43% since February’s score of 7,176,143.
BLACKPINK closes off the top five
Closing off the top five is the internationally acclaimed K-pop quartet BLACKPINK. The group achieved a score of 4,515,803, marking progress as they climbed up the ranks to fifth place.
