Box Office Numbers for Magic Mike’s Last Dance’s First Weekend Are Known

Magic Mike’s Last Dance is the most popular movie during a slow Super Bowl weekend. The movie will make $8.2 million in its first weekend, which is enough to put it at the top of the charts. However, it’s not likely to stay there next week, as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania is set to have a big opening from Marvel Studios. In Magic Mike’s Last Dance, Channing Tanum plays Mike Lane again. Rotten Tomatoes gives the movie a “rotten” 46% rating, which means that critics did not like it very much. “Magic Mike’s Last Dance is loose and flexible enough to entertain, but it’s hard to shake the feeling that this franchise has lost a step or two along the way,” says the general opinion of critics.

Avatar: The Way of Water moves up to second place at the box office after falling from first to third place last weekend. It made another $6.9 million in its ninth weekend. The re-release of Titanic comes in at number three with $6.4 million. With $6 million for the weekend, the sports comedy 80 for Brady is in fourth place. Last on the list, with $5.5 million, is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
