Black Clover Movie Release Date Malaysia: “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King” is an eagerly awaited Japanese animated film, inspired by the famous manga series, Black Clover, created by Yūki Tabata. Set for a global release on June 16, 2023, the film will be available in Japanese theaters and internationally on Netflix.

Engaging Storyline

The film’s plot revolves around Asta, a young boy who lacks magical abilities in a world where magic is essential, and his gifted rival, Yuno. Both characters aspire to become the top mage, known as the “Wizard King.” They must confront previous Wizard Kings, including Conrad Leto, Julius Novachrono’s predecessor, who has been resurrected and seeks to use the “Imperial Sword” to bring back three of the most feared Wizard Kings in history: Edward Avalaché, Princia Funnybunny, and Jester Garandaros. This epic battle will determine the fate of the Clover Kingdom.

Production and Crew

The anime film adaptation was first announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2021. In March 2022, it was revealed that the film would debut in 2023, with Yūki Tabata serving as chief supervisor and original character designer. The movie’s production boasts a returning staff and cast from the TV series, including director Ayataka Tanemura, animation studio Pierrot, scriptwriters Johnny Onda and Ai Orii, and character designer Itsuko Takeda.

Initially scheduled for a simultaneous release in Japanese theatres and on Netflix internationally on March 31, 2023, the film’s release date was postponed to June 16, 2023, in Malaysia through Netflix and worldwide., due to the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on its production. Fans in Malaysia and around the world eagerly anticipate this thrilling new addition to the Black Clover universe.
