Then, once Jimmy has shot and killed Howard, Lalo orders Jimmy to go kill Gus, knowing full well that Gus will identify him.
Instead of sending Lalo, Jimmy encourages him to send Kim, knowing that Lalo will hold her hostage until she verifies that the deed is done.
In the aftermath of Kim’s departure, Lalo ties up Jimmy, and Jimmy tries to point the finger at Nacho before Lalo leaves.
The incident is explained to Lalo by Kim, who is ushered inside Gus’s house by Mike.
Mike sends his men to Kim’s condo, where Lalo can slip inside the laundry room undetected by Mike. Gus learns from Kim that Jimmy convinced Lalo and heads to the wash, only to find Lalo waiting for him.
Gus kills Lalo by shooting him with the gun he had hidden in the laundry room earlier.
To carry on Jimmy and Kim’s ruse, Mike has his men arrange for Howard’s death to appear to result from a cocaine-induced suicide.
He tells the two to keep quiet about the happenings of the night before. After that, Mike is in charge of the last resting place for Howard and Lalo at the superlab.
