Actress Anne Hathaway told American journalists that she had to choose a dress for going to the Oscars at the very last moment. According to the actress, quoted by People, she had to do this to avoid two similar outfits colliding on the red carpet. She apologized to her favorite fashion house, Valentino, whose dress she was going to wear.

Hathaway said that the day before the Oscars, on Saturday, February 23, she received information that one of her colleagues would come to the event in a dress similar to what she chose for the celebration. We are talking about a dress from the fashion house Valentino, whose clothes Hathaway wears quite often.

Presumably, the outfit chosen by Hathaway echoed the dress of her colleague Amanda Seyfried (Seyfried came to the ceremony in a pale gray-lilac dress from the fashion house Alexander McQueen). According to reports, Hathaway asked Seyfried what she decided to wear to the Oscars and asked to send a photo of the dress. Seeing that it resembled the outfit she had chosen, she was forced to refuse it.

As a result, Hathaway appeared on the red carpet in a pale pink Prada long satin dress.

The dress was widely discussed by critics.
