American Idol Season 6 Episode 7: The latest episode of American Idol, season 6 episode 6, aired on April 2, 2023, and showcased the beginning of Hollywood Week. In this episode titled “Hollywood Week Part #1,” fan-favorite American Idol alumni return as contestant mentors to help build confidence, stage presence, and songwriting. Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie watch as the contestants deliver incredible performances on the iconic Hollywood Week stage.

Platinum Ticket Winner and Idol Veterans Mentoring

For the first time in Idol history, there are four platinum ticket winners: Elijah McCormick, Hayden Madison, and Matt Wilson. America has voted, and Elijah McCormick wins the platinum ticket, exempting him from the first round. Idol veterans Phillip Phillips and Catie Turner mentor contestants in songwriting, Clay Aiken and David Archuleta assist with confidence, and Justin Guarini and Jordan Sparks help contestants with stage presence.

Memorable Performances and Judge Feedback

Throughout the episode, contestants perform various songs, receiving mentorship from the alumni.
