Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6 Recap, Ending Explain

So-i tells Seo Yul excitedly that there’s a way he can be saved, and she also jokes directly that Bu-yeon isn’t who she thinks she is. At the same time, Jang Uk convinces Ho-gyeong to let him check on the safety of the firebird egg. Even though the future in-laws don’t get along well, they argue about Bu-role yeon’s in life as Jinyowon’s oldest child.

When Seo Yul hears that Naksu’s soul is still alive in Bu-body, yeon’s which means that the priestess has the face of the rescued assassin, he can’t see anyone else but his former love. So much so that he secretly hugs Bu-yeon as if she were Naksu, with tears in his eyes because he knows she is still alive. Later, Jang Uk finds out that Seo Yul saved So-i because he was “indebted” to her and that his friend needs to take care of something on his own.

After some light scenes that show how close Bu-yeon is to Seo Yul and how Jang Uk gets a little jealous when he learns about their history together, we see So-i swear not to tell anyone that Naksu’s soul lives in Ho-oldest gyeong’s daughter. The swindler’s promise of silence is easy since Seo Yul’s safety depends on it. However, the genius mage cares most about keeping everything from Jang Uk because he doesn’t want his friend to have to go through any more trouble.

When Seo Yul has another nightmare about Naksu, So-i says that it could be because of the bird whistle he carries, which she thinks shows that he cares about the killer. But the con artist starts to worry when Yul decides to take this comment negatively and hints that he might need to kill Bu-yeon no matter what it would mean for him. Maidservant Kim tells Jang Uk that she is getting married to Park Jin. The man who is “like a son” to her cries and tells her how happy he is for her.

Yun-o is worried because Park Jin has ordered that everything coming from the southern volcano be checked. He knows that the energy there was probably used to make the well-drying firebird copies. So angry is he that he makes a quick decision and tells Jin Mu’s men to get rid of everything in Lake Gyeongcheondaeho. Jang Uk tells Master Lee simultaneously that people want the firebird. At the same time, the Gwanju asks the royal family to have Cheonbugwan call together the Unanimous Assembly so that the “lake’s rite” can be done sooner.

Next, Jin Mu tries to make Jang Uk “the general of the North Fortress” because he wants to eliminate the monster hunter in Daeho so that mages from Cheonbugwan can run the capital. Also, Jang Uk thinks about whether it would be suitable for him to use his powers to “protect the world” when he couldn’t protect Naksu. Here, it’s also clear that Uk knows he was born under the King’s star, but he doesn’t seem too sure what to do about it, especially since Park Jin promised to stop the monster hunter if he went after “chaos.”

As Bu-yeon helps Park Jin find copies of firebirds and is honest with him about her ability to see energy, the Queen seems to joke that she would like Cho-body. yeon’s Then, Bu-yeon remembers another time Naksu saw her hanging from a bridge, right before she meets the Crown Prince by chance. It’s not a fun conversation for them to have, but they do try to make each other feel better about their problems, like the priestess’s relationship problems and the royal’s habit of always putting on a show.

When the Crown Prince goes to see Jang Uk, he suggests that he stay in Daeho. This is a subtle way of saying that he wants the monster hunter to be a “obstacle” for Jin Mu. But Uk doesn’t play ball and makes fun of the royal’s requests, even though he knows the fire bird is a threat. So, the Crown Prince, who at first thought his opponent would be nice because he took care of his turtle, becomes harsh. He reminds Jang Uk that his old master said, “It’s better to die than do nothing,” and that the monster hunter is basically dead because he doesn’t have much energy, even though he has a lot of power.

Soo-i tried to help Seo Yul, but he turned her down. Instead, he chose to keep hurting because he thinks it would help him make up for his mistakes. But as the story continues, it becomes clear that if the blood parasite “goes crazy,” it will kill the mage by making him suffer too much. At Jinyowon, Ho-gyeong is talking about this with the idea that the victim can’t tell Bu-secret yeon’s because of this. She seems to say that birds are the cure for deadly insects.

Master Lee looks worried when he hears that Bu-yeon is getting her divine powers back. He says that Naksu will remember her old memories and that her body will eventually reject her. While his partner shows him the Songrim spirit plaque she just bought, Jang Uk talks about how much he liked learning from Naksu. Even so, the mood changes quickly. This is because Jang Uk, who isn’t sure what he wants from Bu-yeon anymore, has been shocked again by how much she sounds and acts like his former master.

Jin Mu asks Bu-yeon to help Jang Uk discover who she is, and Bu-yeon says she will. So-i is angry that Yun-o lets the well-draining earthenware be thrown away and is put in charge of bringing in goods. But it might be hard to do since the con artist has already left Daeho with the help of Seo Yul. Maidservant Kim and Park Jin are having a funny conversation about priorities simultaneously. This conversation leads to a heartwarming message about saving those close to them.

During the time that Seo Yul is destroying his bird whistle memento and seems to be getting ready to face Naksu, Bu-yeon tells Dang-gu that she wants to go to Danhyanggok to see the “big tree” from her memories. Yul happens to hear the last few words of this conversation, so they offer to travel with the Jinyowon priestess. Later, a thoughtful Jang Uk ends this trip, which makes him a little jealous because his partner is excited to go to Danhyanggok with Seo Yul.

After having vivid dreams about killing Bu-yeon, Seo Yul clears the air with Master Heo by wishing him good health and telling him that there are no hard feelings about him being sent to Seoho Fortress before. He then heads to Danhyanggok. On the other hand, Cheonbugwan mages catch So-i on her way to see if Yul, who she says helped her see a “clean and bright” world, has left for Jinyowon. So-i suddenly came back to check on Yul. Yeom-su then beats up the con artist in the hopes that she will say she took the blood parasite out of her body.

When Seo Yul hears this, he changes his plans and goes to So-gambling i’s place. Bu-yeon tells Jang Uk that Yul has a parasite in her blood, and she also tells Jang Uk about her friend’s illness.

In order to save So-i from Jin Mu’s threat, Seo Yul makes a dramatic entrance into the gambling den and starts fighting the Cheonbugwan mages who are there. It’s serious stuff, but things quickly go wrong for the genius mage. His poor health catches up with him, and Yeom-su finds out where the blood parasite is by accident.

Yeom-su gets ready to attack Seo Yul again. He throws So-i out of the way when she stabs him with an umbrella. The main character is able to temporarily stop the threat, even though it leaves him hurt, so he can check on the beaten swindler. So-i smiles as she thinks about how grateful she is to be able to see Seo Yul again, and then she seems to die.

After this, Seo Yul can’t handle the threat of Yeom-su and the others, and he looks like he could be killed. Until Jang Uk comes, that is, until the monster hunter uses his powers to stop the threat right away. “Not a single person will be able to walk out of her alive,” Uk says at the end of the episode, vowing to get back at Seo Yul for all of her trouble before it all fell apart.
