Welcome, everyone! If you love over-the-top romantic movies, you’ve probably seen After on Netflix. The first film introduces viewers to Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin), two hapless lovers who fall in love in college despite their different personalities.
Tessa is studious, kind, and observant, while Hardin is a temperamental bad boy with a wavering heart of gold. After realizing that they share a love for literature, the couple begins a passionate romance. However, they don’t ride into the sunset to live happily ever after (pun intended). Instead, Tessa is heartbroken when she discovers that Hardin only agreed to date her initially to win a bet.
The first movie ends in suspense, but wait, there’s more! After actually, it is based on the novel of the same name by author Anna Todd. There are five books in the After series: After, After We Crashed, After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and Before.
The film adaptation of After We Collided opened in theaters and Video on Demand in October this year, and is available to watch on Netflix.
As reported by Cosmopolitan, the next film in the After series, After We Came Down, is in the works. The next two films in the franchise were apparently shot one after another in Bulgaria, where COVID-19 cases were on the decline.
