A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 5 Recap, Cast

A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 5 Recap: A Million Small Things’ Maggie is very excited to have her child at home… Until Wednesday’s episode, when something happens that really makes her doubt that she can give birth at home.

Claire and Evan, the couple we met at the birthing class in the last episode, go to Gary and Maggie’s house for dinner. Gary can’t believe how much their new friends like the idea of home birth, and it bothers him even more when Maggie says she wants to look into it again. But he agrees to meet with a midwife (Lauren Lapkus from Good Girls and Orange Is the New Black)… Then she asks her a lot of questions about other risks of giving birth at home and is generally pretty rude.

After she leaves, Maggie gets angry and says that hospitals remind her of sickness and fear because they both had cancer. She says, “I don’t want to be anywhere near that when we have our son.” “Our baby is going to be born in a hospital, full stop,” Gary says, making it clear that he won’t give in. (You can guess how that turns out.)

Gary goes to see their fertility doctor, who tells him, “Whatever makes the mom most comfortable is the safest way to give birth.” So, he feels bad and goes home… for Maggie to be crying: Claire gave birth at home, but something went wrong and she had to have surgery at the hospital. Later, they find out that everything went well and agree to keep talking about it. But they may want to move quickly: Later that night, when they’re in bad shape, Maggie wakes up feeling like she’s having contractions. Has labour begun?

A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 5 Recap

Dustin tells Regina at the homeless camp that he lost his job and had to move out. His daughter Daniela is living with his mother. He says that all the shelters are full, but Regina shouldn’t worry about him because “I’m going to get myself out of this.” I just need some time.” When she finally finds him a place in a shelter, he doesn’t even thank her. And she just doesn’t get it… until she finds out that Daniela is really living with him in his truck. He says that he won’t take them to a shelter because Child Protective Services would get involved, and he doesn’t want to lose his child to foster care. So, Regina uses some of her airline miles to pay for Dustin and Daniela to stay in a hotel for a few nights, and he is thankful.

Greta helps Carter hide the name of the man he was married to for six days years ago, which is tattooed on his bicep. The name “Don” is changed to “freedom.” Later that night, Theo tells his mom and her boyfriend, Greta, “I love you both.” This is the first time Theo has said this to Greta.

Rome and Regina invite Walter to live with them. While Rome and Regina are out, Sophie stays with him. Even though he doesn’t want anyone to hang out with him at first, they become close because they both like Otis Redding. Then he tells her how to get a boyfriend. Later, when Walter doesn’t remember that his wife has died, Sophie tells Rome that it’s often best not to correct dementia patients and go with what they say. Before bed, Walter says, “I don’t want to sleep over because I’m afraid I’ll wake up and not know where I am.” So Rome tells the older man that they’ll hang some of his pictures to make the room feel less strange. This makes the older man feel better.

Eddie is about to start college, but he can’t get into the class in behavioural psychology that he needs for his major. But Nicole, who was running away from her violent husband the night she hit Eddie with her car and whom Eddie had helped find an apartment, now works in the registrar’s office and does him a favour by getting him into the at-capacity class. The teacher is a bit of a jerk. After that, he stops by her office to say sorry for getting off on the wrong foot, and she tells him in a harsh way that he should drop the class. Later, he is about to fill out the drop form, but he thinks about Theo being proud of him and throws away the paper.
